Poomsae Competition Team “Harang”

At DO Martial Arts, we proudly offer our elite Poomsae team—Team Harang.

The name Harang comes from the Korean phrase meaning “to become great people in the world where they live together.” This name reflects our goal: to help students grow as both strong martial artists and respectful, compassionate individuals.

Poomsae training builds:

  • Physical strength, speed, and precision

  • Mental discipline and focus

  • Confidence and expressive movement

Team Harang competes in local Bay Area tournaments, as well as state and national-level championships. Through this experience, students gain valuable life skills—such as leadership, perseverance, teamwork, and respect—that colleges look for and that help them thrive beyond Taekwondo.

Join us and become part of a team that trains hard, supports each other, and grows together.

Sparring Competition

Sparring, called “Kyorugi” in Korean, is a fun and important part of Taekwondo. It is also the official Olympic competition event. In sparring, two students practice
their skills by kicking and punching safely to earn points in target areas.

Through sparring, students grow not just as athletes but as individuals. They build confidence, focus, respect, problem-solving skills, fitness, and self-control.

Join our Sparring Competition Class and take your Taekwondo journey to the next level!
